What to See in the Aragonese Pyrenees in September: An Autumn Route and the Grape Harvest in Somontano

September is perhaps the best month for the Aragonese Pyrenees. The high mountain trails are free of snow, the days are still long and warm, and the forests are just beginning to take on their first autumn ochres and yellows. The summer crowds thin out and silence returns to the valleys. And while the peaks change colour, at the foot of that same mountain range, in Somontano, the vineyards of Viñas del Vero are living through one of the most exciting moments of their year: the grape harvest.
